    What should be checked if an Acronis Home product does not accept serial number

    The article is not applied to Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office or Acronis True Image subscription licenses. To use subscription in the product, register it in Acronis account and sign in to this account in the product.


    1. You insert serial number in Acronis product installation or activation wizard;
    2. You receive an error message similar to the following one:

      The serial number is incorrect. Please enter the correct number.


    Possible causes are:

    • Serial number does not match the product that you are installing
    • Serial number is typed incorrectly
    • Issue with the serial number
    • Entered serial number could not be verified online
