Last update: 30-04-2021

You attempt to recover an Entire Machine backup as a new Hyper-V VM: after selecting the necessary Hyper-V host, you select New VM.

After clicking OK you get one of the following errors:

POR: Property 'TargetLocation' cannot be found.

Internal error: No available storage policies.

Issue in the product.

This issue has been fixed in Acronis Cyber Cloud 20.07 Hotfix 1.

There are two possible workarounds for earlier versions:

  • Use an existing VM as a target, or select any existing VM and then switch back to New VM - in both cases the error is not reproduced and should allow to continue the recovery as usual.
  • Create a new VM on Hyper-V host, boot this VM from Acronis Bootable Media (see Creating bootable media) and perform recovery using bootable media: see product documentation for instructions.
