Symptoms

You have installed Acronis Agent and done several backups.

In MMS log, you observe the message below:

2020-08-06T00:00:04:431-04:00 3040 I00000000: Attempt to connect with ARSM.
2020-08-06T00:00:04:431-04:00 3040 W00000000: Failed to connect with ARSM.

Cause

ARSM stands for the Acronis Removable Storage Management service. It is not available in Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud.

This is a known issue that the logs are filled with such messages. The development team is working on implementing a permanent fix in the future versions of the product.

Solution

The messages can be safely ignored.

Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud contains another component called ASRM (Acronis Startup Recovery Manager). 

The abbreviations look similar, so be attentive to the component mentioned in the logs.
